Competitive Audit Reports

Competitive Audit Reports

Conducting Competitive Audit Reports provided me with the information needed to adjust our product to the environment of the competitors. This proved important as it was easy to see in which places the competitors lacked.

Summary

CineSnack is an app that allows a user to seamlessly order their favorite snacks at the movie theater. Whether the order is set to be picked up at the kiosk, or delivered straight to the seats of the moviegoer, this app helps bridge the convenience of technology and the enjoyment of the movie theater.

Takeaways

This project fostered a lot of ideas as well as reinforced my skills in figma. From User Journey Maps to creating design iterations, it was a truly enriching experience. Overall, the journey from conception to implementation underscored the importance of user feedback and iterative design in creating a successful product tailored to user needs.

Effect

The app succeeds in preventing wait times and helping reduce stress levels during ordering.

What I Learned

After numerous iterations, anything can be redesigned and created to be more optimal. Design and iterations never cease as long as the user is front and center.

For The Future

Create a higher functioning payment method, as well as creating other pages to fully realize the application.

I conducted research interviews as well as persona creations paired with empathy and user journey maps. Addressing the overall problems of the moviegoers, it was clear to see that there is a demand to streamline the process to create a seamless snack ordering process at the movie theaters. There is also a demand to reduce the levels of stress and anxiety that would come with ordering in person at the kiosk.

One of the primary user groups that were identified were people with children. This group required extra time and precise ordering to be able to have an ideal time at the movie theater. There is need for a favorites section as well for this user group, as repeat visits are extremely common. Design was also created with the elderly in mind, providing an easy way to order their desired items.
