Technical Understanding and Compliance
I engaged deeply with the technical aspects of high-power laser instruments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and implementing safety protocols to ensure user safety and regulatory adherence.
Through thorough user research and usability testing, I gained insights into the needs of neuroscience researchers, guiding the design of an intuitive GUI that enhances usability and efficiency.
Iterative Design
Process
Using industry-standard design tools like Sketch, Adobe XD, and Figma, I translated user insights into wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, facilitating design refinements for optimal user experience.
Effective
Collaboration
Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, I facilitated productive discussions and incorporated diverse perspectives into the GUI design process. This collaborative approach ensured alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations, leading to a GUI design that met both technical requirements and user needs effectively.
Working closely with the development team, I ensured the smooth integration of the GUI design with device firmware and hardware components, maintaining consistency and functionality across platforms. The successful launch of the device with a well-received GUI contributed to advancements in neuroscience research, garnering positive feedback from esteemed institutions like the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Stanford University.
During my time at LasMed, LLC in Mountain View, I played a key role in designing the user experience for a groundbreaking laser stimulation device tailored for neuroscience research. This device, aimed at selectively activating pain receptors, required a thoughtful approach to GUI design to ensure seamless integration and a user-friendly interface. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, I navigated technical requirements and safety regulations to deliver a GUI that not only met standards but also enhanced the user experience for researchers.
